The growing social issue of social withdrawal—

Young people who struggle between family worries, personal desires, and loneliness, and end up shutting themselves away in their rooms.

Mey Washio, a staff member at a self-support center, faces this serious reality head-on.

Her job is to accept every withdrawn person without judgment and gently support their wounded hearts and inner struggles, helping them take the first step out of isolation.

The reporting team followed her closely as she worked on the front lines of support, where compassion and human desire intersect.
