MRSS-093 Next year, let’s go on a picnic together again, the three of us… To raise money for our son’s surgery, my beloved wife signed a one-year contract with a wealthy man. Yui Hatano

Susumu and Yui’s only son, Katsuhiko, needed a costly operation. A wealthy man named Sonoda said he would cover the full cost of the surgery if certain conditions were met, so Susumu and Yui went to meet him directly, desperate for help. Sonoda then made an outrageous demand: he wanted to hire Yui for one year under degrading terms. Susumu strongly opposed it, but in the end, he gave in to Yui’s determination to save Katsuhiko and signed the contract.
