Dreaming of the city, she planned to move there after graduating from school, but her parents opposed it, so she gave up and took a job in her hometown. At 19, she still wanted to become an entertainer in the city. After seeing footage of city life on TV, her desire to go there flared up again, and she ran away from home without telling her parents. With nowhere to stay and no set plan for how long she would remain, all she had was 10,000 yen in cash. While wandering around in that situation, she was approached by a man. With no money and the promise of a meal, she ended up going along with him to his home.
