Ah, a bittersweet tale of a late bloomer. On the milestone of Miyazawa Chiharu’s fifth anniversary in the industry, she launched a crowdfunding project with a heartfelt wish: to create a coming-of-age work centered on one man and his journey to break out of his inexperience. For the director, she chose HAM.the MC, a truly inexperienced filmmaker who has never had a girlfriend, and opened casting to men from all over Japan. The response was huge, with 120 applications in total. After a careful selection process, the role went to Kazu-kun, a 39-year-old from Saitama.

He had never had a girlfriend, had no experience with adult entertainment, and was not comfortable talking with women. Still, determined to change, he pushed himself to approach women at mixers, through apps, and even at work. He even managed to go on dates. But unfortunately, every attempt ended in disappointment. Worse, he later realized that the woman he liked had been making fun of him behind his back, and for the past few years he had shut himself off emotionally, thinking, no matter how hard I try, it never pays off.

Even so, his insecurities never disappeared, and he continued living with a heavy heart. Then, by chance, he came across this recruitment project. With 40 just around the corner, he felt this might be his last chance. He shook off the painful memories, steeled himself once again, and decided to apply. A completely innocent man who had never even been kissed or touched, he now carries the hopes of inexperienced men everywhere and bares everything in front of the camera.
