QX-074 Hard Breaker, Kazama Rei, and others

A film that portrays how women’s peaceful, happy everyday lives are suddenly shattered by a shocking assault, presented as an omnibus of three different tragic incidents. The more intimate scenes are somewhat weakened by Tomorowo Taguchi’s overly forceful presence, but the assault scenes are the real highlight. The intense, violent two-on-one attack creates a tense, gripping atmosphere. The room scene is fairly standard, the seaside scene is especially harsh and chaotic, and the scene involving food being forced into someone’s mouth feels almost like dark comedy, leaving it unclear whether it is meant seriously or as a joke.
