CMU-123 The Journey of Mature Women’s Awakening

A collection of seven sensual travel stories about married women in their fifties, who set out on carefree journeys through scenic regions in search of encounters with the opposite sex. Along the way, they become swept up in brief, romantic connections with the men they meet, rediscovering long-forgotten feelings of desire and intimacy.

The story features three mature female hikers in their fifties and sixties. Frustrated by sexless marriages and the passage of time, the three women grow close during their mountain travels and become drawn into a playful romantic bond with one another. When they meet an older man and a young film crew during their hike, they quickly hit it off. At a hot spring inn, they let themselves be carried away by the idea that what happens on the road stays on the road, and experience the joy of intimacy with the opposite sex for the first time in years.

In the second half, the story follows a dramatic and provocative travel tale set in a hot spring inn, where three mature sisters from Kyoto and their husbands and sons deepen their family bonds in shocking ways before the camera. It also includes the journey of a lone woman in her sixties, whose travels lead to encounters with younger men by the winter seaside, as well as a voluptuous young innkeeper at a hot spring lodge who, despite a sexless marriage, finds herself drawn into a passionate affair with a younger man.
