NASK-447 Nihon Geijutsu Roman Bunko: Grandmother and Grandchild Affection, Showa Edition

The new installment in the literary AV drama series Nihon Geijutsu Roman Bunko tells the story of a wife who gave birth to a baby and then passed away suddenly. Her 66-year-old grandmother becomes a surrogate mother and raises the child to adulthood, only to fall into forbidden love with her grown grandson. The grandson, too, becomes captivated by his grandmother’s mature beauty, and the two secretly seek each other out whenever his father is away. This dramatization adapts a short story by a Showa-era rental-book novelist: an 80-year-old man, widowed after remarrying, takes in his late wife’s 68-year-old daughter-in-law, who lives with him and cares for his daily needs, as a new wife, and she tries to bring him renewed intimacy through his grandson. A plain but beautiful 69-year-old grandmother becomes a mother figure after her daughter dies shortly after giving birth, and struggles to raise her young grandson. In order to help him gain admission to university through a special recommendation, she is forced into a humiliating situation by his lecherous homeroom teacher and a school janitor after class. When the grandson witnesses this, he becomes consumed by desire for his heartbroken grandmother and pressures her for intimacy, but she resists. Unable to control himself, he overwhelms her, and as she gradually begins to respond, she embraces him and accepts his advances. Two sisters in their forties, driven mad by a forbidden bond involving each other’s sons, are secretly filmed by yakuza and fall into a nightmare of exploitation. To make matters worse, the older sister’s son is forced by the yakuza to violate his beautiful grandmother, who is still under seventy. A provocative forbidden-family drama for mature men and women born in the Showa era, with a lingering emotional effect that invites viewers to reflect on tenderness and renewed passion after watching.
