The main anchor of the New Year Special Ikasare! Mezamashi News is Rumi Tanaka, a popular morning face and a fourth-year reporter at HKR Broadcasting. She says, I will deliver news that viewers can listen to with peace of mind. With a clear distinction between her on-air and off-air sides, Tanaka delivers the news calmly and confidently during the live broadcast. This segment also introduces a rare look back at Tanaka’s days as an assistant director. Even while exhausted from a demanding workload, she would doze off and keep sleeping without waking up easily. This is the true art of holding it together!
