This is a uniquely human pleasure, one that blends affection, jealousy, possessiveness, defeat, and imagination. Even those who think it has nothing to do with them may already be standing at the entrance if, when imagining their loved one being desired by another man, they feel even a little heat beneath the anger or sadness.
